 Re: Cold Cold Duck
did someone say blanking off the oil cooler was a good way to heat up the car quicker?

 Re: Cold Cold Duck
Yeah, from the backside. Little can of beer or something else and piece from it fits perfectly. Easy to fit and if it gets warmer, easy to slip halfway out.

 Re: Cold Cold Duck
Wow ! I am still digesting all the info you folks sent my way. Thank you! The vastness of the reservoir of knowledge here is impressive. I will start this weekend with some of the ideas posed and see how it goes. I will keep you posted on the installation of the Espar heater as well.
One thing I have already done is to insulate the walls and behind the door cards with mylar coated bubble wrap. It is thin and very effective. It is a bit bright to use uncovered however. It was much like sitting inside a tin can until I got the fabric covering over it. I have also insulated my roof with a similar material which has fabric already sewn to it.
Here is to warmth!

 Re: Cold Cold Duck
Good luck! BTW, I've often wondered about using this stuff for 2CV insulation: http://buildingmaterials.co.uk/Foil-Ins ... 5-20M.htmlIt's pricey, but it's meant to be brilliant.
