Which chassis do you have? I recently made one for my car, but I also happened upon one that I removed from the car some years ago. There's not much measuring required, a couple of crossbars to each chassis leg and a single central spine for the towbar.

It's lake a ladder type galvanised Any dimensions would do, I can check if it will line up easily enough Cheers Paul

Pics speak louder than words .... "Witter" towbar, fitted to an [early] non-galvanised SLC Chassis. Dimensions .....[in inches ....sorry,I dont do "Euros"] Looks like this when bolted to the car. OMG ......I had'nt realised that the underside of my car was so rusty & crusty .... And yeah .....I know I'm a cr@p artist, and an even worse photographer,so if anyone can do better, please feel free to have a go y'self .... hth best rgards T.

Just to add to the discussion - I saw a tow bar the other day that had the front legs going all the way to the large bolts that hold the rear beam on. I thought this looked a stronger than drilling the thin chassis. Found it.... http://www.2cvp.com/detail/attelage+com ... 26-150.htm

 Re: Drawings/dimensions for 2cv towbar?
I welded in a new crossmember to mount the central hitch piece and as a jacking point, then I welded a plate to the central piece which bolts to the rearmost chassis crossmember. I wanted something that could be removed quickly as I generally don't like having a towbar on the car.

 Re: Drawings/dimensions for 2cv towbar?
Made the towbar from some nice stainless found in work, but will leave the final weld of the tow ball end until I get a rear bumper so I can judge where it sits Thanks for all who assisted Cheers Paul
