Can some-one(spanners maybe) clarify whether a sunstrip on a 2cv would result in an MOT fail? I've known an MOT tester to demand a sunstrip was removed, because it covered part of the area swept by the wipers, and 2cv wipers reach the top of the screen.

I'd say it's a yes.

Mate of mine thats a Mot tester told me that if its on the inside then they cant do much but he did also say it can still be debatable.

Toomany's absolutely right, it would be a fail.

In theory, by fitting tiny wipers, you could possibly get a test on it but it's a grey area.

I'm still tempted to get one though, just fit it after the MOT ;)

Chris, just for the record, it doesn't make any difference on an MOT whether something's on the inside or outside-it's still an obstruction. I've failed cars for air fresheners from the interior mirror and one for having the tax disc right in the middle of the screen on the passenger side!

Makes sense - after all, it doesn't make any difference to whether you can see through it or not...

Max trying to steal it, sadly, having no wheels on it put paid to that plan.

Having been ejected from the car, Max had a sulk.

This must add at least 3bhp.

Max said 'I took some photo's for you, you'll like them'. Yeah. Cheers...
