Only just gone through these photos.

It looks amazing. What are the chances of getting a car already out there? Im guessing pretty hard?

Almost impossible unless an old worn out rust bucket can be found. Getting one of them back on the road cost a small fortune. Importing is easy but getting it through registration is so hard these days (side intrusion bars, re impact bars, collapsible steering column, catalyst converter and and and). Best way is an early 2cv 1970 or before, it doesn’t not need to comply with ADR Australian Design Rules.
You lot have the benefit of right hand drive in your country so it is a bit easier.

Oh dear!

Maybe but unlikely. Raid Australia is a very hard raid and not many Aussie raiders are prepared to hand over their precious only to see the car trashed. I’ve done that twice with 2 different 2cvs. One car was cared for and looked after, the other came back totally rooted. If you are serious about participating, I will ship a prepared raid car from France to Australia and are happy to hire it to you. It will be a 2cv van left hand drive.

The Australian 2CV site has moved to 2cv.com.au, and you can find more Raid Australia 2012 info here.
