Post Conquering water
I took Kermit for his first honest dip today, he luved it!

I had the suspension wound all the way up, fan off, tarp covering the front of the engine and you can see my makeshift snorkel poking out the side thanks to a length of vacuum cleaner pipe.

Given that the car is fuel injected and the relay board is exposed in the engine bay I think it did great! A bit off wheel spin but no missing at all, although a lower ratio 1st gear would be nice.

And a creek crossing on the mighty Bloomfield 4x4 track in the Daintree rainforest, with a little bush repair thrown in and fan still engaged...

Any tips and techniques please share!

Excellent stuff, taking the fan off is good.
Have had two occasions where fan has shattered when hitting the water.
ps Will finnish the "fan with clutch" someday.

Nice one Thomas, although I don't think Gert would have been to happy about you using his favourite fish-nets

Ahh yes, I have 123 which I had already sealed with (a liberal amount of) silicon...

Time to find deeper waters...

   Typical Viking... Sitting on your ass while the others do the work, it was good of the natives to help out! :D
Like Erik says "You know my dad's not a real Viking? He hates water..."

Great pic 8-)
