I don't want to killjoy but an original 2cv comes in at 560kg so I think 590kg is a little bit optimistic.....

My ami6 4x4 (Mehari4x4 technics) with 2 winches comes in at 840 kg
My sahara 2 times 2cv6 engine ami8 Chassis at 780kg

So when you count like this:
Original 2cv 560kg
middiv 30kg
backdiv 40kg
driveshafts 16kg
propshafts 8kg
reinforcments 45kg (chassis and body)
bigger wheels 20kg (5 times 4 kg)

So this will give you 719kg (MOT ready) (when you build it Lighter then 700kg I buy you abottle of Whisky) (my favorit 2cvWM drink as by Mark4x4)

Guess I should look around for "Bargin's" in the Whisky department.

Can only get heaver, forgot about wheels/tyres, all large and heavy.

How about comparison of Kg's/ total number of "gear ratio's"!

My ami has about 72/1 total reduction (2cv4 prime axle insted of dyane 6)
which gives you about 1/2 mile/hour at idle!!!!

You can release the clutchpedal without touching the throttle even on a steep slope!!! (Going up ofcours you wiseheads)

The Sahara has got two 2cv4 gearboxes and dyane 6 engines..!!!

id love a 2cv with a massivly low ratio in first in a low range option on the box and then a normal gear 1

One of those things just for messing about, i was amazed when i drove the navara the other day when pulling a boat out (yes its a navara not a 2cv, it has a 2.5L DI engine!) how much grunt low range 1st has, it was about 2 mph but i felt like i could of pulled the tectonic plates around ;)

id love a 2cv with extra low range to pull boats out with :D
