Is it thin here because of the driveshaft articulation?

Yes, On the first version diff sat very low down, with this version Engine and box will sit as low as the sump allows.

These braces will "foul" the Toe-Board.
The body, was sitting 25mm above the chassis, (for a number of reasons).
I plan on sitting the body directly on the chassis as per standard! hence less room for the braces, problem is that there is very little room to fit them........

Looks like it will be best to cut into the toeboard then? Or will they also foul the pedal box?
The butterfly effect is working here! I luv it!

Hi Harley, Whats new with you?

Have cut them out, redone with steeper angle, they now touch the cross tube, the toe board already has a hole in the middle, so maybe a big hammer for the bits that touch.

ps
Already had a number of butterfly events on the build.

As the gearbox is now operated directly (ie no inverted link) had to make a new Gear Knob with the revised shift pattern.

Serious machining cockup....

After 20+ unsuccessful attempts to set up the front differential, I gave Rick Pembro (Gearbox Guru) a call.

He very methodically went thru various builds with various parts, Diff, Shaft, Bearings, shims, Taper Roller bearings etc .

He discovered that I had machined the pinion shaft so it was not concentric!!

See pic

Have found a company that will correct the shaft with a sleeve and grind it to allow the bearing to fit correctly, so that the shaft is not scrap!!!.

ps
Rick is also an expert for Steering racks and probably the whole A series range.

Buttery Fly Moment. (Number > 29) .

The prop shafts angles are a compromise, tilted the T-box up a bit, now only one shaft with largish angles
