Plan is to put back standard front arms and standard steering with C5 struts.

So you going to use "standard" front axle with leading arms opposed to early desing trailing arms? As I recall, we had some talking about Ackermann -theory what didn't realize with "flipped" front axle..?

And as a normal project, first make somehow and then make it again with different design...

Yep a "Normal" project :D .
As per Ackerman, I did not change the geomertry, apart from the caster angle, so it all worked, apart from the "self centering" which only just worked, but I assumed was insufficinet for a vechicle IVA test.
So made a short differential ....IVA test some time.

If you just flipped around, the Ackermann isn't correct. As with the flipped axle, you need to alter steering rod ends so the joint is outer than kingpin when it is inner on original setup...

Self centering depends of castor angle, and the Ackermann is a different issue and if it is wrong then outer wheel turns more than inner and lost traction because of that...

About sensors on suspension. C5 have two of them, one in each axle. If I remember correct, it is a potentiometer, so it gives nice voltage reading depending the height of suspension. C6 have them on every wheel, same sensors. Not too expensive even new, about 50€ piece, must be cheaper at scrapyards... On C5, height is measured from ARB, and the ARB is necessary because left/right suspension cylinders are connected together, and without ARB car will tilt...

Finally I got a moment to see how those C5 sensors work...

On 5v supply, output is between 0,3V to 4,7V. Nice and linear. But, they aren't potentiometers, but contactless sensors with some electronics...

And yes, also looked with scope, nice and clean signal...

If they doesn't get any water inside, they last practically forever. New one 65€/piece here, got some from scrapped car for free...

@Jasu,
Thanks for the info.
UK breakers charge about €35+ for a used part! , also my nearest breakers has closed after 40years + of trading:)
At some point, may look at shaft encoders + Arduino

Does they give a home position signal, or are they only giving pulses when rotating? An absolute sensor might be better if you want a digital signal...

Also, are they "weather proof" versions, and does them like vibration..?

On that point, I'll prefer to use automotive sensors. That sensor what I opened, is from -01 car what had over 500000km travelled on Finnish conditions, read much of water, ice, cold, snow and salt...

Agreed the Car items are designed to do the job, seems the sensors are similar BMW, Audi etc.

Absolute encoders at about €35.

But first must complete the re-fit of the new diff/suspension.

Fitted revised Transfer box with lower ratios it also site 2.5cm lower in the chassis.

See https://youtu.be/TiPV2IRYi3M

Fitted new front diff good clearance for prop shft under the axle cross-tube.
