Had a little clean-up in my garage today...

Putting my 4x4 on it's own wheels by 2 pieces of square tubes connected to the knife edges.. Put it in the highest position.. Well I think it is a little frightning... especcialy the rear-end

Not only am I impressed by the car but that you've tidied the garage!!

I know I know, but ofcourse this wasn't my idea..

As you know I have a grease pit in there but for about the last 5 years my 4x4 was sitting on it. Now my stepson wanted to work at the exhaust of his Saxo VTS.... so that's why, otherwise it wouldn't be done...

Last year around this time I bought some airshocks and today the time has come to put them under my car.....

So here we go....

First I bought some steel tube 60mmx3mm to make a cross-tube through the chassis..
Then I attached some U profil 60x60mm to host the airshocks..



Some sawing and welding and dryfitiing the shocks


Next is to put the tube through the chassis and mount the other two 60x60 U-profile..

As you can see the mounting eyes at the wheelarm needs to be on top of the axle, so lets modify the arms..





At last the shocks can be mounted..



So heres a little video, of the shocks... Theres only a little travel because the rearwheels
are hitting the body, next I need to modify the Louis Barbour reararms.. so then I have full suspension travel...

Full of air the suspension is very soft.. maybee to soft for raid but ok for trail-driving as I'm planning to do with it...

Maybee theres the need for 2 more schocks we will see...

The first you can see how soft the suspension is... But for trail-driving this is very good and exactly what I want... keeping the wheels to the ground, so you keep traction to the wheels

Like it a lot, but in needs to tested in the field
