I made one at work, i used two hemispheres with a bolt between them, works ok.

Looks nice and shiny but.... I don't think you can do sills with it (only 2cm inner space). Or maybey you have to make the first hole with my tool and then pass it trough......
Here in Holland they are about €200,- but then you have 4 or 5 seizes, the nicest ones are the ones which bend the edge a little to the inside giving massive strengt to it.......

Then we also need an English wheel a pneumatic hammer (shrink and widthen metal) a seammachine to cut fenders an make nice seams an air-nibbler, a tig welder a sandblastcabine, a paintcabine, a sincbath

Last 2 evenings I spend my time to re-adjust the hight of the master-breakcylinder and pedals. Because the body is chopped 5 cm. the pedals are 5 cm to low, so I need to make them 5cm higher. It's a fu##ing job but almost done.
Making several metal plates to make everything fit again, made some crap pics, I still have to weld everything together. I think I can just place my battery so....

Failing all else, could you not just fit the battery on the other side? You could fit it a bit lower then too? :geek:
