Post Re: A 4x4 is (re)born
Today I made the first floorpanel:

Made 2 folds at a folding-bench? One to fit the floorpanel to the sill and another to make it look like an original floorpanel where the bolts go trough.
I lightend also the sill drilling a lot of holes in it exept where the safetybelt is attached......

That is looking very good, I like it a lot. What prompted you to go single engine with propshaft to get the 4WD as opposed to the twin engine route you took with the Sahara?

Good question, I don't know the answer.

My goal is only one thing; to get the chassis higher of the ground in the middle.

I want(ed) to do something new/else.

The problem with the Sahara is when you are climbing up a hill, the front wheels are spinning and the back engine is starving, (you could make a propshaft between the 2 engines this would be a good solution)

That looks the dogs bollocks! Although you need to buy a swaging tool for those holes.

Yeah, but to put a really nice look and a strong edge to the hole, you can buy a tool to round the edge over a little.
