"English wheel" or "Roue Française"? ;)

Spot the vaguely familiar part at 2.07...

I appreciate that you've probably been busy enjoying yourself at Salbris or similar but, anything else been done on this recently?

I'm missing our regular LPGO 4x4 fix!

Correct I'm just back from Salbris and another week in a small vacation house near the sea (Normandie)

What a F"cking shit (literaly shit meeting) the worst meeting since 1989 which was held in France to, they never learn anything at all.
I don't know if there is a topic about this otherwise I will open one.........
(Yes, this is comming from deep inside me and the rest of my famely)

My 2cv was a disaster this year......
exaust broken (probably happend at the inscription field in Salbris) but it broke
2 days after the meeting, fixed that with an can of Monster energie drink
some wire and hose clamps from the Intermarche.

Then disaster really stroke, a push rode broke, luckely 1 mile from my holliday home.
Phoned with 2cv Viking (great guy) but it was 530 km to drive.

Went to scrapyards and so on at last I fixed it with a piece of metal which I
sawed and filed in the more or less right shape.

Yes it worked, toke me home for over 800km only adjusting 5 times the valve clearing..

O yes my front engine supports are gone to, so my engine wobbled the hole
day,

I will post some pictures tommorrow, going to sleep now.

F"cking French organisation,

3 times hurray for 2cv Viking.

I need to see this pushrod! Sorry to hear you didn't like the meeting, it wasn't the best but I feel it was good to be part of the biggest 2cv meeting ever. A once in a lifetime experience. Sounds like you've had a busy time, look forward to hearing the whole story when you've had a rest!

Well mc Giver or the A-team eat your hart out.

Pictures having fun fixing my 2cv in France.....

First this is the 2cv in (battle) travel-formation

First the exhaust at the level from 1 to 5 it is a 1

this is how it looked wenn I arrived at home.

Then the broken pushrod..

Went to several scrapyards /Citroen concessionairs.
Standing at a scrapyard almost next to a 2cv asking the scrapyardowner do you have spareparts for a 2cv the owner says no, then me pointing to the 2cv and that then over there... the owner says thats not a 2cv.... I ?????????? oke but do you sell me parts from that car (pointing at the 2cv) the scrapyard owner says they won't fit your car. I then asked do you sell me the whole car... the owner says no, thats my car and he's finished......

Then at a Citroen garage which has a Cassis dealership sign in the showroom,
I told my problem to the counter lady, and she said come back at 2 o clock
the patron was then there.
So went back at 2 asked the counter lady again, off she went to the garage to the patron came back after 2 minits and proudly said; we can order your part it will be here in about 14 days will you pay in advant....
and I went !@#$%^&*()

So then of the the bricolage (hardwarestore) and the rest is history.

The pushrods (1 spare) are made from a hinges to close a fence.....

How can-break a push rod anyone??? No signs off wear or anYthing

Don't need to mention which one isn't original
