Re-assembling gearbox and try selecting gears on the bench.

Seems to be stuck in reverse.

The best way to to put things back, the way it was designed.

Gery-matter vs RTFM vs Pictures.

Post Re: Make Your Own ....2CV.... 4x4
When i did re-assembly of my LNA box i missed out on one of the locating dowels. Also check that all the locking balls are in place, I'm sure they are pictured in ghe manual, with looking at the machining holes i was able to figure out where they all went.
My gear select is very tight and notchy, it feels like the springs behind the locking balls are to firm...
Hope that helps!

@ Harley.
Are you in the UK.

Thanks for the info
Had to consult the GS manual, a number of times....
Used the GS selection lever, that seems to be different dimensions, but now back to the T bar of the LNA, which means I have to modify the linkage to the gear-stick.
Sent the 3rd/4th syncro balls and springs round the garage, as luck would have it, had some spares. (Hoarder).
Also seems very notchy without oil using the short lever?

Gearbox now with LN ratios (lower than GS).
Not far from completion.

Diff Cover.
Still go to fabricate a cover for the Crown Wheel and then get it welded.

Done all the cutting, grinding, welding, milling, drilling, tapping and general fettling...

Now to assemble all the parts and "Align" the crown wheel and pinion.

Plan is to put back standard front arms and standard steering with C5 struts.

The short differential should then fit in, then squeeze a narrow prop shaft under the cross tube????.

Cut most of the front end off.
