Do you have to have a fireproof bulk head between the engine and seats etc?? Nice work :)

@chris This is the biggest item to do, firewall is harder to do as the divide is halfway along the rear doors, an engine cover may be easier? But then it will over heat! Ideas welcome...

Remove the back windows in the rear doors and replace with alu and then large feed tubes down to the engine box. :?: :?: Maybe

Really amazing build Pete.
I like Chris's idea of an intake in the rear door feeding the engine cover.
Another nice idea would be an aluminium roof scoop which acts as a snorkel to feed the inlet.
I can see you are correct in the engine cover being the biggest item to do. Using separate ducting for inlet and cooling will bring the best gains for keeping you, motor and inlet cool... Then you have to make it submersible

Why has nobody suggested opening up that vent flap which Pete has glued shut?
Then prop the boot lid open a bit...

Edit. Forgot to check the pics.
Does the boot lid still exist?

Well got it to Morvan, thanks to Tubs, Ru and Barbour.
First fail no battery, but of the trailer and up the access track to main camping 1/2 km off road in one piece.
Out on some harder tracks, got back very hot motor, but thanks spotted before any damage 2 hours in and still going.
Lots of people pole looking and telling me I mad.
Out out on yet harder tracks, 2cv's in 1st gear I'm in 2nd and still plenty of rpm.
Steering goes vet optional, Barbour repair in fix mode steering bent, so got that replace and cut some of the chassis out (thanks Lou). Front end far to low, so wound it up a lot, better clearance for steering but now very hard at front.
Got up a very challenging bit in 1st, others had failed and one roll onto side, but Alas now UK video:(.
Sunday out stilll going but fuel problems/misfire so took it easy.
Very happy bunny with first outing, but to alter front suspension, stole plenty of ideas from the buggies.
Need better tyres and Traction Control.
Plus a fantastic weekend with the whole meeting even with frost on the tent.
