Jeremy Klaxon. Love it... Whenever anyone has given me one of his books as a present, it goes straight to the charity shop. lpgo wrote: brainwashed by Jeremy Claxon

The crew abandoned the trip halfway through and Anthony Howarth came across as an arrogant pig who did time for fraud. Ive always hankered after one, got the book and the programme on an un-watchable DVD somewhere a few of the cars were released a while ago and someone was trying to get one of them going Actually it was a pretty neat idea, let down by lack of technical knowhow and the ability to transfer the idea off the drawing board into reality. There seemed to be some elements that were only going to make the whole thing vanish up its own arse. The development of an opposed piston engine was one. Anyone who's been to Africa will tell you that if you want a car then its either going to be Toyota, Mercedes or Peugoet, and as simple as possible, and the most available fuel is going to be Diesel, so a standard common diesel engine from one of those 3 manufacturers is likely to be the best plan.

 Re: Africar
On the way back from the Spainish World Meeting I got a chance to see and drive the Africar.
It drove really well an off road the ride was amazing.
I'll dig some photos out and post them later.
The 6 wheel one is in the process of being restored so we had a go in the 4 wheel one...
