Post River crossing
Hopefully, we'll have to cross a few rivers. Its good fun, if you survive, even if you don't.
Bring a plastic cover and do this. If the river/creek is too deep, remove the fan. Electronic ignition is not very safe here, so bring complete points/condensor set if you need to convert ''back'' to points.

Yesterday i saw something interesting, 123 on the firewall and points on the regular place. Use 123 for normal driving, hit a switch at a river and the points take over.

Erasmo,
was the camshaft also somewhere near the firewall, with the 123 magnets attached to it? :?

I have no idea of the technical details, I only spoke with the bloke for like 10 seconds...

Looks like i have found the page of the garage that developed it: http://www.eendengarage.com/elektronisc ... teking.htm

Erasmo,
if GoogleTranslate was doing its job correctly, the type of ignition they're promoting is points-assisted.
It's got nothing to do with 123, except that they do seem to mention the things which can go wrong with digital ignition systems, especially when taken for a swim...

ken.

Yeah by the time of my first post I didn't knew that it wasn't 123...
