 Croix en Ternois
Just got home from going to see this meeting. Been a bit of an adventure, although not on the same level As Harley's....
Set off at half past stupid this morning thinking I could just roll up at le port and jump on the first boat that floated along. Incorrect. I had a bit of a caper getting into the circuit too and have bounced across several farmers fields but once in the circuit it was great, weather was superb and the circuit is so small it's more akin to a kart track, wherever you stand you can see almost the entire circuit. It's a tight and twisty track with a long straight. Seemed to suit the 2cvs well. There was one British entry, sammie fritchley and Peter Dalkin in the yellow and purple ecas car. One classic class car on track was a shame as it would have been good to see three or four of them battle it out. The circuit is about an hour from Calais, a little further than I thought but well within reach. I must have passed twenty bars/tabacs going through the villages to the track so I wish I'd had a bit more time to make a pub crawl of it, but now I know where it is and how long it takes to get there I'll definitely be going back as its closer to me than a lot of the uk series races. The only problem with the circuit is that whilst you can see the whole track they have erected massive wire mesh catch fencing which prevents any attempt at photography, which you'll see when I upload all the beautifully focused shots of wire fencing I took today, all of them with blurry 2cvs in the background....
Good times though, I'd reccomend it. Wish I'd stayed overnight to see the second race on Sunday, wish I'd taken a 2cv, and wish I'd allowed enough time to hit a few bars on the way home.

Russell wrote: Youtube button FTW! Nice work Neil. Cheers. I must admit when I find myself confronted with a bunch of plain old links I tend not to bother clicking. Hopefully this way it'll make video threads a bit more interesting as well as looking a bit more 'professional' too. Certainly looks like a tight circuit. I notice all the spectating CV2s had their hoods shut! Great vids, shame about the feckin' fence!
