Hi, Planning to go to Spa in Oct for the meeting (never been before) any advise from people. Places to stay etc..

One of the best meetings you're ever likely to experience. Camping available just outside of the circuit; big fires, loud music, mud, 2cvs & a cracking atmosphere.

We stayed there in 2007 after arriving at the track at midnight in the snow.

Neil- star as usual. I believe the race is free to watch?? What about the drive around the track- do you have to book?

Chris, It's about 10€ to camp for the weekend - this gives you access to the track & pits. The lap of the track is another 10ish€, I think. You pay for the lap when you cough up for camping, you'll get a pass/sticker that allows you on to the circuit.

Any UK 2Cv's entered in the race?????

There are usually deals made to let the uk championship cars enter but rarely is there a big take up on this, one car usually, but as I understand it there will be two or three this year. I can't go this year, which I'm gutted about as I've gone every year since 2007 and it's my favorite 2cv meeting ever. Entry to watch is completely free, entry to the paddock is free, entry to the campsite, stands and pit areas are all free, camping last year was €16 and the same again to do the lap. No booking required just pay up on the gate and get your stickers. They normally throw a couple of goodies in, a poster, sticker, magazine or one year we were given condoms. Take firewood and stuff if you can as the container load they supply usually goes quite quick.

Best camp ever.

I'll be heading down there the Friday and coming back Monday so as to see the end of the race. Most people clear off and last year, my van was the only one left in the camping field by about 4pm

Really really really wanna go again this year. Hopefully.
