I was there but unfortunately I didn't take any photos as I was too busy!
It was good racing though-very enjoyable.
Actually, I did take one photo but that was just of the latest craze of "Paratenting"!

The first ever 2CV race in the UK. Mallory Park 7th May 1989. Cool Max! I wonder if any of our members went to Mallory last weekend for the 20th anniversary of 2cv racing celebrations? Any pics? (and well done Matt Hollis, who took a win!) |

Russell, have to admit that I went, after being sent a ticket and told to lay off the welding for the w/e by Tete Rouge Paul. Actually, he was a lot ruder than that, but I'm glad that I went as it was a superb event. Don't forget that Sammy Fritchley became the first woman driver ever to win a 2CV race. There was quite a cheer went up along the pit wall when a spark plug blew out of a certain car's engine and she took the lead... Well done to Matt for holding his nerve during the longest spell of tailgating/slipstreaming I've seen for a good while during a race. No pics as I got roped into a bit of spannering, but those on the Race Club's site are excellent, as always. ken ( Cadwell next? ) Russell wrote: Cool Max!
