To ALL involved with the Grease Monkey car, thank you very much. You all worked amazingly hard. My old man is a bit of a nightmare but it did get there and it did finish. I hope that some of you keep contact with the car as no one is running it now. It needs to be used and ideally in the championship so that the development is kept up and reliability sorted. can't be that hard can it?....

Pete

We've been talking a few ideas over with Marc, Lynn, Dave, Mike, Mal and Kell to name a few, I'm hoping we can get something off the ground with it. But not this week. And we didn't finish second to last, we finished one place above that. Although I'm not sure tha matters. Cheers for getting me involved with your old man, Pete, it's been a nightmare but there's a lot of potential there and a lot of enthusiasm even after all the hassle in the night (when I left little rich in charge, it was going great all the time I was looking after it) so hopefully we can talk it over and get the car out next year, looking a bit tidier and working properly. Solex carbs and standard camshaft FTW.

Ha ha ha we do "reliability" but don't really do "speed", "organisation" or any sort of "presentation"

We did speed and organisation, but lacked preparation and reliability, slightly disappointed that we bent the valves on our best engine 20 minutes in, as we were chasing 1st in class, dropped to 38th, I think then clawed back up to 7th in class so didn't do too badly.

Oh and thanks to JK with out his car we'd have had no spares! I'm gonna sleep now. I've had 6 hours since saturday morning.

Thanks to Joolz, we wouldn't have had a spare engine at all. Top bloke, if you want any help getting your engine back logistics wise then I'll do what I can to help.

It was a top weekend as ever, the result is pretty inconsequential.

Russ, it won't bother me if that engine sits in the car for the next 6 months, so long as it isn't left out in the rain or in the corner of the shed with the barrels off. I'll go and rescue it if need be, it's not far off my regular routes.

I'd like to (once again) take the opportunity to mention that it was working fine when I left it.

The car comes home, near the back, but it finished.
