Anybody know how it ended up in the states and who owns it?

Russ,
all my fault, I guess...
It went to Bob Prince of Grafton, WI, back in '98 but has probably been sold on since then.

So it's a pukka ECAS race car, not a replica then? I might have to look into that a bit more, thanks for the heads up, welcome here too, Ken. 8-)

It's the real thing but I think it was my second one, bought from Graham Garnett after selling my first, the original Mondello winner, to ??

That's the first I've heard of it since it left!

Have you any pictures from it's heyday? I'd love to track the owner down and see what it's been upto in the states, As I'm keen to kic this feature section off, that would be an excellent candidate!

On that subject, Who owns the blue/silver belgian dyane racer?

Coincidentally, I have been archiving some of my old vhs tapes and came across the Top Gear footage of the Mondello 24hr race in 1990 featuring the old ECAS car:

Originally recorded as my brother was a mechanic for the Autosport teams. I know its not the 2CV your looking for... but its some racing history
